This should be easy, right? Yet all the different software, apps, and instructions out there make it seem anything but. Not to mention, the large majority cost money if you don’t want a watermark over your completed image.
So, what is the absolute simplest way to make a collage on Facebook? Without watermarks or hidden costs? It’s this:
On Your Phone, Download “Layout” from Instagram.
It’s a mobile app available for both Apple and Android — free on your device’s App Store.
It was created by the Instagram team (owned by Facebook) so it’s the quickest, most seamless tool out there.
Once you’ve opened the Layout app, on the bottom half of the screen, you’ll see your photos. Tap on the ones you want to include in your collage.
Near the top of the screen, you’ll see a horizontal list of different layout choices featuring your photos. Select the one you like best.
Then: “Save” and choose the option to publish to Facebook! Couldn’t be simpler.
Your Facebook Profile Photo: Is it 😍 or 😷?
Studies show that we can’t see pictures of ourselves objectively.
This makes us choose profile pics that look less attractive (or smart, authentic, fun, etc.) than we really are.
On Photofeeler, you can find out how your photos are *really* coming across — if you look attractive, smart, trustworthy, fun, confident, and more.
As a business owner, you may find uses for Facebook groups. They let you connect with people with common interests — employees, new and existing customers, vendors or industry insiders. Group members can share pictures of products and events on the group page to keep all members in the loop. With multiple people uploading, locating specific photos can quickly become difficult. Photo albums offer an efficient way to organize photos in a Facebook group.
Log in to your Facebook account and select the group you wish to work with from the list in the left side panel. If it does not appear, click the “More” link next to the “Groups” heading to select from a list of all your groups on the resulting page.
Click the “Add Photo/Video” link that appears at the top of your group’s main page. Click the “Create Photo Album” option. Select the first photo you wish to upload from your computer’s directory.
Edit the album details in the spaces provided on the resulting page while you wait for your photo to upload. Tag the location in the “Where Were These Taken?” box. Add text in the “Say Something About This Album…” box. Click the “+ Add More Photos” button in the lower left corner to upload additional pictures to the album. Click the “Post Photos” button to create and share your album.
Create new albums for each new group event, project or product launch to maintain an organized group photo collection. Label each album as accurately as possible with dates, locations and other memorable references.
Instead of sharing pictures individually, make a collage to share through your social media apps.
Sharing photos allows friends and family to relive one of your moments. However, sometimes a single picture just isn’t enough. So whether you want to show off pictures from a fun day at a theme park, your kids doing something funny, or your pets being cute, using Photo Grid for Android is a great way to start.

Step 3: Pick the location of the pictures you want to use for the collage.

Step 4: Tap on individual photos to select them and then click Create. If you make a mistake, the photo or photos can be removed at the bottom of the screen.
Step 5: Press the left and right arrows at the bottom of the screen to change the order of the pictures in the collage.

Step 6: For some reason, the app starts you with a frilly pink border for collages. Luckily, this can be changed by sliding your finger left and right across the images.
Step 7: Now you can Save the collage to your SD card, or Share it via one of the apps on your phone. (There’s also an Edit button in case you need to swap out a pic or two.)
That’s it. Now instead of having to individually upload each photo, you can share groups of them at a time with an artsy twist.
To maintain its dominant position in today’s digital marketing landscape, Facebook has lots of tricks up its sleeves that help people and brands advertise and sell their products and services. For example, it lets you make a slideshow to promote your page.
Now, slideshows can be used strictly for advertising and strictly inside of a Facebook page, but the ability to upload your own music and choose the pictures you want to use is pretty neat.
So, how do you make these slideshows? Keep reading to find out.
Making a Slideshow from a Facebook Page
In order to make a slideshow on Facebook, you need to have your own page. Slideshows can be made for free, but are meant primarily to further boost your page’s ranking. As soon as you enter your page on your computer, you should be able to notice the Photo/Video button underneath the status update text box.
That’s the button you should click. It will take you to a new, smaller menu, asking you what you’d like to do. Click “Create slideshow.”
A new window will pop out, guiding you as you prepare your slideshow. You need between three and ten images to make it. The rest is pretty self-explanatory, as you get to toggle transitions, choose the aspect ratio, and decide on the lifetime of images (how long each image “stays” on the screen).
When you start adding images, you should get a choice to either upload a photo or take one. Choose the “Upload Photo” option.
Thankfully, you can add more photos in one go.
As soon as you’re done with this, you can click “Create Slideshow.” Facebook does it really fast, so it just takes you back to your page with the slideshow ready for upload in a matter of seconds. You can play the slideshow before you upload it to see if everything’s as it should be. If it’s not, there’s an Edit button inside the playback window that takes you back to where you’ve just been. Otherwise, you can decide if you want to share it now or schedule the upload for a specific time.
When you’re satisfied with the end result, click “Share Now.” Facebook will upload your slideshow in the background and send you a notification when it’s done.
Making a Slideshow from the Promote Menu
Facebook also offers an option to create a slideshow to promote your business or Facebook page. This way, your slideshow can act as an ad at the same time.
To start, you need to click the Promote button underneath the page options. A Promote window shall pop out. What you’re looking for is the “Promote Your Page” option, so click on that.
What makes this quite handy are the ad creation options. This way, you can immediately set the target audience, as well as the ad’s duration, budget, and payment currency. Since you’re making an ad, you will have to pay for this option.
Another convenient thing about making an ad this way is the ability to save a slideshow as a draft. For seven days, Facebook will remember you have an unpublished ad. Also, if you hover over a picture in the slideshow creation window, you’ll get a chance to edit the image by clicking on the small round pencil icon in front of each individual thumbnail. This edit tool also lets you add a simple caption to each picture.
Facebook recommends that your pictures have a resolution of at least 1280×720 pixels for best results. Even more important is the consistency. All pictures should have a similar aspect radio. If it tends to differ, Facebook will lock the slideshow’s aspect ratio to 1:1.
Facebook also recommends the use of MOV or MP4 file formats for video, as well as WAV, MP3, M4A, FLAC, and OGG for audio.
Facebook’s slideshow creation option maybe isn’t the best on the market but is really good since it allows you to make any number of slideshows for free. Another big plus is the time required, as you can make a slideshow in minutes or less, even if you’ve never used this option before.
Have you ever created a slideshow for your Facebook page? Did you also use it as an ad? Tell us about your experiences in the comments below!

Facebook is adding an interesting new automatic collage feature, which appears when you share photos from your phone’s camera.
When you tap the photos button, you’ll see automatically created collages based on the location and time you took them.
Collages can be re-arranged before they’re shared, or you can create your own instead. It’s a nice way to share a lot of photos to show off your trip, rather than uploading a ton randomly.
Roast me, dear customer
Why we should embrace the review economy
It’s an interesting new offering as Facebook looks to get you to share more things to your feed, rather than only talking privately on services like Messenger.
The feature is rolling out for iPhone users today and will be available on Android “early next year.”
The social network is also adding the ability to stream live video directly from your Newsfeed.
Facebook previously allowed verified users to use the feature with their fans, but now anyone can stream to their friends directly within the app.
When you click ‘Update Status’ you’ll see a new option for streaming live video. As you go live, you’ll see your stream overlaid with real-time comments and the names of friends tuning in.
The feature appears to be largely the same as the one that was part of Facebook’s Mentions app for verified users, but with the ability for anyone to use it — provided you’re in the US for now.
On top of the addition of live streaming, Facebook is testing a new menu when you tap ‘What’s on your mind’ at the top of your feed that shows the new sharing options rather than just a box to type in.
It’s clear the addition of streaming is a way for Facebook to grab back those users streaming on other platforms like Periscope and Meerkat — though it’ll be interesting to see if anyone actually uses it.
