Pokemon Sword and Shield has been on our mind for some time now, and not just because the date of the Isle of Armor DLC dropping has been drawing ever closer. No, we’ve actually been busy thinking about all the wacky ways in which you can evolve Pokemon in the game, which then got us thinking about some of the older additions from other generations to the Galar region. Those looking to add some beefy boys to their team may be on the market for a Machamp. However, what level does Machoke evolve in Pokemon Sword and Shield? We’ll walk you through everything.

How to evolve machoke

So, you want to get your hands on a Machamp. It isn’t actually that hard. Before you can actually get your mitts on a Machoke, though, you’re going to have to make sure that your Machop hits Level 28. Once it hits 28, it’s going to turn into a Machoke, which is the form that you’re going to need to hit the next rung on the evolutionary ladder. Technically, your Machoke just has to be Level 28 to actually be eligible to evolve into a Machamp; it’s not a level threshold that has to be met to turn this chunky Pokemon into a real beefcake. Evolving a Machoke is as simple as trading it to another Pokemon Trainer. Yes, that’s right. The tried and true method of Machoke evolution since the Pokemon Red days. Wild, huh?

Now that you know that the level that Machoke evolves at in Pokemon Sword and Shield is largely redundant, you should be able to get a Machamp of your own so long as you’ve got someone to trade your Machoke to. This has basically been the norm since the first generation of Pokemon games, and while Galar has thrown Trainers some curveballs, this is definitely one of those “if it ain’t broke, then don’t fix it” situations. Better hope no f***er attaches an Everstone on it, tho. Otherwise you might as well just ask for the Gengar or Machamp.

It’s. It a complicated process. just search the GTS for haunters, there are usually people that have them up for evolution trades, and you can see the item held.

And I just checked and in Haunters case there are a few up being traded for other Haunters that aren’t holding items.

How many Pokemon have to be traded to evolve in this game? I find that really annoying lol 😅

MACHAMP:

ABOUT MACHAMP:

Machamp is a first-generation Pokémon. He is of the fighting type. Machamp has a few extra arms, but otherwise, Machamp is very similar to Machoke, something they share with the Abra family. At level 28, Machop evolves into Machoke, and when swapped with another, the other receives a Machamp, as Machoke evolves by exchanging him. His name seems to come from macho and champ, the English word for the champion. Machamp is a Fighting-type Pokémon introduced in Generation 1. It is known as the “Superpower Pokémon.”

How to evolve machoke

HOW MUCH USEFUL IS MACHAMP POKEMON

Using its heavy muscles, it throws powerful punches that can send the victim clear over the horizon. One arm alone can move mountains. Using all four arms, this Pokemon fires off impressive punches.

It quickly swings its four arms to rock its opponents with ceaseless punches and chops from all angles. It uses its four powerful arms to pin the limbs of its foe, then throws the victim over the horizon. With four arms that react more quickly than it can think, it can execute many punches at once. Machamp has the power to hurl anything aside.

However, trying to do any work requiring care and dexterity causes its arms to get tangled. This Pokemon tends to leap into action before it thinks.

Machamp is known as the Pokemon that has mastered every kind of martial arts. If it grabs hold of the foe with its four arms, the battle is all but over. It’s four ruggedly developed arms can launch a flurry of 1,000 punches in just two seconds.

It is impossible to defend against punches and chops doled out by its four arms. Its fighting spirit flares up when it faces a tough opponent. It can knock a train flying with a punch. However, it is terrible at delicate work using its fingers.

It can lift heavy loads with the greatest of ease. It can even heft dump trucks. But its clumsy fingers prevent it from doing any precision work. It grasps its opponents with its four arms and twists them up in an intricate hold. People call it “the Machamp special.”
